Early Childhood Education

The Carpinteria Children’s Project aims to ensure that all children in Carpinteria have the opportunity to learn in an early childhood education program. We serve approximately 75 children aged 18 months to five years. We work with our network partner programs and others in Carpinteria to help each interested family find a program for their child; different programs are available depending on families’ income and risk factors.  The Carpinteria Unified School District (CUSD) serves preschoolers with special needs in several of our classrooms, enriching the diversity of experiences available to all.

We operate

  • Five classrooms at our site on 8th street.
  • Child care during classes for parents.
  • Events for all children and their families in the community including an annual health fair, Dia de los Muertos celebration, family fun day and many more.
